Farthest to the west is Norrskär with its lighthouse built in 1848. By the harbor there is a group of old fishermen's huts that now serve as summer homes. The island also has many old bunkers from the time when the island was a military area until the year 2000.

From Sommarösund you sail west along the shipping lane over the open sea past the Vasa lighthouse. As you approach Norrskär you sail through the sparse archipelago of the island group. From the harbour there is a short path up to the lighthouse on the highest point of the island where you have incredible views in all directions.
If you want to experience the most remote place in the archipelago, this is the destination for you.
