In the northern part of the World Heritage Site, in the middle of the Kvarken, lies Valsörarna. The lighthouse of Valsörarna was completed in 1886 as an important navigation point for the commercial traffic of the time. The lighthouse with its special design is 36m high and was planned by the same company that built the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

To reach Valsörarna, it is best to start from Klobbskat and sail mostly through the archipelago along the lonely fairway through Björkögrunden and the inner fairway to Valsörarna's guest harbor. From the guest harbor, the 3km long nature trail goes past the old burial sites and beautiful nature to the lighthouse with its old lighthouse keeper's quarters. Along the trail, you may come across the sheep that usually roam freely in the summer. At the guest harbor there is a fireplace where you can eat before sailing home.
If you are looking for a full-day adventure in the outermost archipelago, Valsörarna is the perfect destination.
