In the western part of the World Heritage Site lies Storskär in the northern part of the Rönnskär archipelago. The island has a lookout tower and a very beautiful nature trail with ancient burial sites and rock labyrinths as well as a magnificent view to the west.

From Sommarösund you head west and sail mostly over open sea. The crossing takes about 4 hours each way. From the lookout tower you have a view of the harbor and the old fishing village. The nature trail takes you to the west side of the island to the old burial site which sits on the highest point of the island. To the south you can see the daymark of Rönnskär and to the north the lighthouse of Norrskär.
Storskär is a remote and stunning place to visit for the adventurous.
