In the middle of the Vaasa archipelago lies Kopparufurskär, a popular and beautiful excursion destination with a barbecue area. To the north you can see Replot Bridge in the distance, to the west the open sea and to the east the inner archipelago of Vaasa.

From Sommarösund you set your course towards Vaasa and sail along the coast with the open sea to the southwest. The jetty of Kopparfuruskär is well protected from most wind directions and the rest area is pleasant. There is a short path out to the island's western cape where you have a nice view of both the Replot Bridge to the north and the open sea to the southwest.

If you are looking for a reasonable long sailing trip with a stop at an island then Kopparfuruskär is a good fit, even for the inexperienced sailor.
